Q: What does the website migration service entail? Will my web site be safe?
A: If your present hosting provider can no longer satisfy the demands of your website, or when you go through continuous network downtime, or if you have to wait for hours for the customer support staff to respond to you, it might be a smart idea to swap your hosting provider, i.e. to move all the files for your sites along with your databases from your present provider to your future provider. At Jmarts Hosting, we realize that this can be hard & time–consuming. That is why we will perform all that for you at no cost!Our highly skilled technical staff will move your web site content from your present hosting provider to us. Our techs have a lot of experience migrating websites and can handle anything – from a typical WordPress–powered blog or Joomla™–based web site, to a very complex, custom–made web app.

Q: How long will the website migration process take?
A: While we can’t give you a precise time window, because there are many factors, including the physical size of the web files and databases, the physical location of the current host’s server, the complexity of your site and the current workload of our Website Migration Department, etc., we’ll give our very best to transfer your web site within 48h, and in certain cases – within 24h (when the content is not large).

Q: What data will I have to give to your Website Migration Department?
A: We don’t require any personal data. We will require, though, the login information for your current web hosting account as well as the name of the website that you would like to move.

Q: My old web hosting account has sensitive data inside. How can I rely on you?

Q: What about downtime? Will my web site be unavailable?
A: Nah. Your website will continue to be accessible online during the transfer. Once everything is completed on our end, we will inform you so that you can examine it and check for any problems. If everything’s OK, all you will have to do is modify your domain name’s DNS records.

Q: Will my present web hosting provider need to provide any info/help?
A: While we migrate your content, your web hosting provider will not be aware of the transfer at all. We won’t get in touch with them in any way.

Q: Which hosting platforms do you support?
A: Yep. We support all conventional Linux–based web hosting platforms. We don’t support Windows–driven web hosting platforms, since we don’t provide Windows hosting services ourselves.Additionally, we don’t support proprietary web site creation and administration interfaces such as Wix, BaseKit, Jimdo, Website Tonight, Four Square, Mr Site, etc.
